AI CV screening

AI CV screening that reads every application, not just the keywords.

AI CV screening is software reading every CV that arrives for a job, scoring it against what the job actually needs, and telling the recruiter what it found. A keyword filter matches words. This reads the document, gives each candidate a score and a written reason for that score, and leaves the decision where it belongs. Below is how FunnelIt does it, including the parts it refuses to do without being asked.

What AI CV screening actually means

Most software sold as a CV filter matches words. If the job says SAP and the CV says SAP, the candidate passes. A good candidate who wrote the same thing in different words does not.

AI CV screening reads the document instead. It works out what the person has done, compares that against what the job needs, and produces a judgement it can explain.

The difference shows up on the candidates a keyword filter gets wrong in both directions. The strong applicant who used other words, and the weak one who listed every keyword and has done none of it.

How FunnelIt reads a CV

Every application is read and scored against the job before anyone opens it. Your recruiters get a decision to make, not a document to read.

Each candidate arrives with a score and the reason for that score, written in a sentence. The reason matters more than the number. A score on its own is something to argue with. A score with its reasoning is something you can check.

This happens the moment the CV lands, not overnight in a batch.

You set the pass mark, and you can set it per job

There is one pass mark for your agency, and you can override it on any single job. A junior role and a hard-to-fill technical role do not deserve the same bar.

That number is yours to move at any time. Nothing about the screening is fixed by us.

It asks before it rejects anyone

This is the part most agency owners want to hear about first, and the honest worry behind it is simple. Will it quietly reject somebody you would have hired?

On a new job it rejects nobody. It keeps every candidate, shows you what it would have done, and asks you yes or no. It only starts working on its own once it has agreed with your answers nine times out of ten.

So the screening is calibrated against your judgement, on your own jobs, before it is trusted with any of them.

What happens after the shortlist

Screening on its own only moves the work one step along. So each shortlisted candidate gets 5 questions written from their own CV, rather than the same form sent to everyone.

Then a short personal email invites them to book a time from your calendar. Confirmations and reminders go out on their own.

By the time a recruiter is involved there is an interview in the diary, with a question sheet already prepared for it.

What it does not do

It does not make the hire. It shortlists, asks, writes and books. Every decision that matters stays with your recruiter.

It does not need a login to any job board. Candidates arrive through your own careers page, and you can import CVs you already hold as files.

It does not lock you in. Export the whole account as a file whenever you want. There is no contract and no exit fee.

Watch it read your own CVs

Send me 2 open jobs. I set up your screening before we speak, so on the call you watch your own candidates being read and scored, not a demo account.

Questions

How is AI CV screening different from a keyword filter?

A keyword filter matches words. AI screening reads the document, works out what the person has actually done, and gives a score with a written reason. It catches the strong candidate who used different words, and the weak one who listed every keyword.

Will it reject a good candidate before I see them?

Not on a new job. It rejects nobody at first. It keeps every candidate, shows you what it would have done, and asks you. It only works on its own after it has agreed with you nine times out of ten.

Who decides the pass mark?

You do. There is one for your agency, and you can override it on any single job.

Does it need our Naukri or LinkedIn login?

No. We never ask for your password to any job board. Candidates come in through your own careers page, and you can import CVs you already have as files.

How fast is a CV read?

Seconds, and it happens when the CV arrives rather than in an overnight batch.
